Getting Worcestershire Dancing

31 Jan 2011

Over the past year Dancing for the Games supported project, 12 Moves has been getting people around Worcsetershire dancing.

The 12 Moves Dance Squad have been working in Tenbury with primary schools on an arts project called Trace and Place. The culmination was an evening of dance, drama and drumming. Take a look at the video below to find out more.

The 12 Moves Dance Squad have also been working with Ourside Youth Centre in Bengeworth, Evesham running a series of popular street-dance sessions. Check out the video below to see some of the sessions and hear why the people involved love dancing.

These are just two examples from the biggest dance project Worcestershire has ever seen.

If you live in Worcestershire and want to get involved, look out for the 12 Moves Dance Squads who will be spending 1 day a week in Bromsgrove, Malvern Hills District (including Tenbury), Worcester, Wyre Forest District (including Kidderminster and Bewdley) and Wychavon (including Evesham).

This summer watch out for flashmobs and surprise performances throughout the county too.
