Bollywood Steps
Bollywood Steps was a free major outdoor dance spectacular that took place in Victoria Square in celebration of the 175th anniversary of Town Hall, Birmingham in 2009.
The performances were enjoyed by over 10,000 people and featured dazzling dance numbers, stunning architectural lighting, fireworks, colourful costumes, water effects and a cast of hundreds of local school children, youth dancers and dhol drummers.
Before the event local people were asked to learn a series of dance moves through an online tutorial, so that they could take part in a magnificent wedding scene during the show. Dancers were on hand just before each performance to teach the audience the steps too.
