Everybody Dance Now

Everybody Dance Now was a festival that took place across Wolverhampton from 29 July to 6 August 2011 that celebrated the history of social dancing in the area.

Led by Central Youth Theatre, the festival featured performances from theatre groups across Europe as well as a packed programme of site specific events, from ballroom dancing in a railway station to 70’s discos in a gig venue.

There were also opportunities for the public to get dancing at social dances across the city, each with a different theme, and to learn more about the history of social dance in Wolverhampton at an exhibition at the city’s art gallery.
