StreetCheer
StreetCheer is a three year project giving girls across the West Midlands the opportunity to take part in a fun blend of street dance and cheerleading.
Girls have been taking part in workshops and performances, with some participants even receiving the training needed to allow them to set up their own cheerleading group in their local area.
In May 2011, at Nechells Community Sport Centre in Birmingham, 418 young people broke the World Record for the largest group cheerleading dance ever. Much more is planned for 2012, with a series of performances to celebrate London 2012 taking place next summer.
