Community Guidelines

Thanks for wanting to get involved with Dancing for the Games. We’re so excited that people are interesting in talking about dance and uploading their dance pictures and videos.

There’s a few simple guidelines that we would like you to follow when chatting and contributing to the Dancing for the Games site and social media platforms.

1)     Remember that Dancing for the Games is for all the family. So, if you wouldn’t say something or show something to your Mum, please don’t post it here.

2)     Be positive in your conversation. Some people have the confidence to be the first on the dance floor, others join in reluctantly. Please be encouraging to those who are slightly shy in strutting their stuff.

3)     Don’t upload images or videos that you are not authorised to use. This has serious legal implications for both Dancing for the Games and you. We don’t want to be dancing to the Jailhouse Rock.

4)     Nobody likes spam. Please don’t spam the site with large amounts of irrelevant content for commercial reasons or any other purposes. Wading through the spam stops us all from moving and grooving.

We want to let conversation flow freely, but if we think that content is unsuitable, we reserve the right to remove it. If illegal content is uploaded, we consider it our role to report it to the appropriate authorities.

If you ever have any questions or comments, we’d love to hear from you. If you do spot something on the site which you find inappropriate, please let us know. Please email us at admin@dancingforthegames.co.uk.

Here’s to getting a million people dancing in the West Midlands before September 2012!

Have fun.
