Lawk Naach
Lawk Naach is a unique performance involving thousands of people, timed to coincide with Birmingham’s celebration of the Torch Relay on 30 June.
Over the last year Dance Sansaar has been working all over the West Midlands to involve around 24,000 people in learning Lawk Naach, a form of Punjabi folk dance that includes Bhangra, Jhumar, Luddi, Giddha, Julli, Daankara, Dhamal, Sammi, Kikli, and Gatka.
Over 2,000 of these people will come together on 30 June to take part in a specially choreographed dance routine and attempt to set a new World Record.
